Sunan an-Nasai 704 (Book 8, Hadith 17) #15312
Worshiping Images is Forbidden

SUMMARY: The hadith is about how people who make images of others and worship them will be the most evil of creation before Allah on the Day of Resurrection.

It was narrated from 'Aishah that Umm Habibah and Umm Salamah mentioned a church that they had seen in Ethiopia, in which there were images. The Messenger of Allah said: "Those people, if there was a righteous man among them, when he died they built a place of worship over his grave and made those images. They will be the most evil of creation before Allah on the Day of Resurrection".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about how it is forbidden to make images and worship them. It was narrated by 'Aishah that Umm Habibah and Umm Salamah mentioned a church they saw in Ethiopia which contained images. The Messenger of Allah said that if there was a righteous man among them when he died they built a place of worship over his grave and made those images. He warned that these people will be the most evil of creation before Allah on the Day of Resurrection. This hadith teaches us that we should not make any kind of image or idol to worship as this goes against Islamic teachings and beliefs. We should only focus our attention on worshipping Allah alone as He is the only one worthy to receive our devotion and prayers. Furthermore, this hadith also serves as a reminder for us to stay away from any kind of sin or wrongdoing so we can avoid being judged harshly by Allah on Judgment Day.
