Pray with tayammun if there is no access to water; be patient; have faith in God's mercy; seek help from God in difficult times; be thankful towards God's blessings .

This hadith tells us about the revelation of the verse of Tayammum. It was narrated by 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah sent Usaid bin Hudair and some other people to look for a necklace that she had left behind in a place where she had stopped while traveling. When it was time for prayer, they did not have wudu', and they could not find any water so they prayed without wudu'. They mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah and then Allah revealed the verse of tayammum. Usaid bin Hudair said “May Allah reward you with good, for by Allah, nothing ever happened to you that you dislike but Allah makes it good for you and the Muslims”. This shows us how merciful our Lord is; He always provides solutions even in difficult situations like this one. Through this revelation we learn that if we are unable to perform wudu’ due to lack or unavailability of water then we can perform tayammun instead which is an alternative form or ritual purification using sand or dust from clean ground as an act of worship towards God Almighty.
