QUICK LESSONS:
Maintain a state of cleanliness before performing prayers; Take care in one's appearance when going out in public; Strive for respectability and neatness; Follow Islamic teachings regarding cleanliness and piety.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of ritual purity in Islam. It was narrated by 'Aishah that she used to help the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) wash himself after ritual impurity, and he would then go out to pray with traces of water still on his garment. This shows us that it is important for Muslims to maintain a state of cleanliness before they perform their prayers, as this is part of their worship. It also teaches us that we should take care in our appearance when we are going out in public, even if it is just for prayer. We should strive to look presentable and neat so as not to bring shame or dishonor upon ourselves or our religion.
