Abstinence from Excess Eating

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not eat to his fill with wheat bread for three consecutive days until the end of his life.

'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger as saying: Never did Allah's Messenger eat to his fill the bread of wheat for three successive days until he had run the course of his life.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ مَا شَبِعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ تِبَاعًا مِنْ خُبْزِ بُرٍّ حَتَّى مَضَى لِسَبِيلِهِ
