It was narrated by Ibn 'Umar and states that this charity must be given by both young and old people, as well as free men and slaves. The amount to be given is one Sa' of either barley or dates. This hadith teaches us the importance of giving charity to those in need, regardless of their age or social status. It also emphasizes the importance of helping others in our society who may not have access to basic necessities such as food and clothing. By giving this charity we can help those less fortunate than ourselves and show them kindness and compassion during Ramadan.
