Sahih Muslim 2918a (Book 54, Hadith 92) #14385
Spending Treasures in the Cause of Allah

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the death of two kings, Khosrow and Caesar, and how their treasures should be used in the cause of Allah.

Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger said: Khusra (Khosrow king of Persia) would die and Qaisar (caesar King of Rome) would die; there would be no Qaisar after him, but, by the One in Whose Hand is my life, you would spend their treasures in the cause of Allah. This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Zuhri.

QUICK LESSONS:
Use resources wisely for good deeds such as helping those in need or building mosques etc

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about two kings, Khosrow and Caesar, who will die one day. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that after their death, there would be no more Caesars. He then went on to say that we should spend their treasures in the cause of Allah. This means that whatever wealth or resources these kings have left behind should be used for good deeds such as helping those in need or building mosques etc. It teaches us to use our resources wisely for the benefit of others instead of hoarding them for ourselves.
