The Benefits of Supplication

SUMMARY: Supplicating for someone in their absence will be beneficial for the one who supplicates as well.

Umm Darda' reported: My husband reported that he heard Allah's Messenger as saying: He who supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence), the Angel commissioned (for carrying supplication to his Lord) says: Amen, and it is for you also.

Pray and make du’as for others even if they are not around you at the time.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the power of prayer and supplication. It teaches us that when we pray for someone else, even if they are not present, it can still benefit us as well. The hadith is narrated by Umm Darda', who heard it from her husband who heard it from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). This shows us that we should always strive to pray and make du'a for others, even if they are not around us at the time. Not only will this benefit them but also ourselves in return.
