The Reward of Supplication

SUMMARY: Supplicating for others behind their back will be rewarded by Allah.

Abu Dharr reported that Allah's Messenger said: There is no believing servant who supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence) that the Angels do not say: The same be for you too.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray and Make Du'a For Others Even If They Are Not Present With Us . Have Good Intentions When Making Du'as . Think Positively About Our Fellow Muslims .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the reward of supplicating for others in their absence. It is narrated by Abu Dharr that the Prophet Muhammad said that when a believer supplicates for his brother behind his back in his absence, the angels will say "The same be for you too". This means that Allah will reward the person who supplicates with an equal or greater reward than what they asked for. This hadith teaches us to always pray and make du'a for our brothers and sisters even if they are not present with us. It also encourages us to have good intentions when we make du'a and to think positively about our fellow Muslims. We should always remember that whatever we ask from Allah He will give us something better in return if we are sincere in our intentions.
