Sahih Muslim 2674 (Book 47, Hadith 30) #13877
Rewarding Righteousness and Bearing Sin

SUMMARY: Calling people to righteousness will be rewarded, and those who call people to error will have to bear the burden of its sin.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: He who called (people) to righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhered to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who called (people) to error, he shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.

QUICK LESSONS:
Call people towards righteousness and do good deeds yourself.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of calling people towards righteousness. It teaches us that if we call others towards doing good deeds, then we will be rewarded for it just like those who actually do it. On the other hand, if someone calls others towards wrong-doing or error, then they will have to bear the burden of its sin just like those who committed it. This hadith encourages us to always strive for goodness and stay away from wrong-doing as much as possible.
