The Importance of Reciting the Quran

SUMMARY: This hadith encourages people to recite the Quran.

Abu Imran reported that Jundub told us as we we-re young boys living in Kilfa, that Allah's Messenger had said: Recite the Qur'an. The rest of the hadith is the same.
حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ صَخْرٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ قَالَ قَالَ لَنَا جُنْدَبٌ وَنَحْنُ غِلْمَانٌ بِالْكُوفَةِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِهِمَا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of reciting the Quran. It is narrated by Abu Imran and Jundub, two companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ encouraged people to recite the Quran as it is a source of guidance for us in our lives. It teaches us about Allah's commands and how we should live our lives according to His will. By reciting it regularly, we can gain knowledge about Islam and learn how to be better Muslims. Additionally, reciting it also helps us develop a closer relationship with Allah SWT as we are reminded of His greatness through its verses. Furthermore, it also serves as a form of worship that can help us attain rewards from Allah SWT in this life and hereafter if done sincerely for His sake alone.
