Sahih Muslim 2622 (Book 45, Hadith 179) #13757
The Power of Humility and Faith

SUMMARY: Allah will fulfill the wishes of those who are humble and have faith in Him.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) as saying: Many a person with disheveled hair and covered with dust is turned away from the doors (whereas he is held in such a high esteem by Allah) that if he were to adjure in the name of Allah (about anything) Allah would fulfill that.

QUICK LESSONS:
Remain humble at all times; Have faith in God; Ask for things with humility.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the power of humility and faith. It tells us that if a person with disheveled hair, covered in dust, adjures in the name of Allah, then Allah will fulfill his wish. This teaches us that even if we are not dressed up or look presentable, it does not matter to Allah as long as we have faith in Him and remain humble. We should always remember that no matter how small our wish is, if we ask for it with humility and faith then Allah will grant it to us. We should also remember to be humble at all times because this is what pleases Allah the most.
