Giving in Charity on Eid

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) went out for the 'Id prayer on the 'Id day and preached to the women, ordering them to give in charity.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet went out for the 'Id prayer on the 'Id day and offered a two rak'at prayer; and he neither offered a prayer before it or after it. Then he went towards the women along with Bilal. He preached them and ordered them to give in charity. And some (amongst the women) started giving their forearm bangles and earrings.

QUICK LESSONS:
Give generously during special occasions like Eid .

EXPLANATIONS:
On Eid, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ went out for prayer and offered two rak'ats. After that he went towards the women along with Bilal and preached them about giving in charity. Some of them started donating their wristbands and earrings as a form of charity. This hadith teaches us that it is important to give in charity during special occasions like Eid, as it is an act of worshiping Allah SWT. It also shows us how generous people can be when they are willing to donate even their most precious possessions such as jewelry for a good cause. We should all strive to be generous like these women were, by donating whatever we can afford or have extra of so that those who are less fortunate than us can benefit from our donations too.
