Sahih al-Bukhari 1430 (Book 24, Hadith 33) #1373
Caring for Charity

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was very careful with charity and did not want to keep it in his house overnight.

Narrated 'Uqba bin Al-Harith: Once the Prophet offered the 'Asr prayer and then hurriedly went to his house and returned immediately. I (or somebody else) asked him (as to what was the matter) and he said, "I left at home a piece of gold which was from the charity and I disliked to let it remain a night in my house, so I got it distributed ".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be generous with your money; Use your money for good causes; Think about how your actions can have a positive impact on others around you; Distribute charity quickly

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of charity and generosity. It shows us that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was very careful with charity and wanted to make sure it was distributed as soon as possible. He did not want to keep it in his house overnight, so he quickly went home and got it distributed right away. This teaches us that we should be generous with our money, especially when it comes to helping those who are less fortunate than us. We should also be mindful of how we use our money, making sure that we are using it for good causes rather than wasteful activities or things that do not benefit anyone else but ourselves. Additionally, this hadith encourages us to think about how our actions can have a positive impact on others around us, even if they are small acts of kindness or generosity.
