Show kindness towards people regardless of their social status or background

This hadith speaks about the importance of showing kindness and treating people with respect, especially those who were loved by one’s father. It was narrated that a desert Arab met Abdullah b. Umar on his way to Mecca, and instead of ignoring him or treating him badly, Abdullah greeted him warmly and even gave him his donkey and turban as a sign of respect. This act was inspired by what Prophet Muhammad said about being kind to those who were loved by one’s father; it is considered the finest act of goodness for a son or daughter towards their parents. The hadith teaches us that we should always be kind and respectful towards others regardless of their social status or background, especially if they are related in some way to our parents or family members; this will bring us closer to Allah’s mercy and blessings in this life and in the hereafter.
