Sahih Muslim 2540 (Book 44, Hadith 316) #13566
The Value of Serving the Companions

SUMMARY: This hadith is about not reviling the companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and that spending gold in their service is more valuable than Uhud.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: Do not revile my Companions, do not revile my Companions. By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if one amongst you would have spent as much gold as Uhud it would not amount to as much as one much on behalf of one of them or half of it.
