This hadith is about the words of Allah's Messenger concerning a cistern. Haritha b. Wahb al-Khuza'i reported that he heard these words from the Prophet but did not mention any other details such as those mentioned by Mustaurid. The main idea behind this hadith is to emphasize on the importance of listening to and following the teachings and instructions given by Allah’s messenger in order to gain success in life and hereafter. It also teaches us that we should be careful while listening to others as there may be some discrepancies between what they say and what was actually said by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
