QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful of your actions and think before you act.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the virtue of killing geckos. It was reported by Abu Huraira that if someone kills a gecko with the first stroke they are rewarded one hundred virtues, but with each subsequent stroke there are fewer and fewer virtues awarded. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of our actions and to think before we act as it is possible to do more harm than good if we act without thought or consideration. It also teaches us that even small acts can have great rewards if done correctly and with intention.
