EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of killing domestic snakes. It was narrated by Nafi' who heard it from Abu Lubaba who was informing Ibn 'Umar about what Allah's Messenger had said. The Prophet Muhammad forbade the killing of domestic snakes, which means that we should not harm them or take their lives away as they are living creatures too and have a right to live in peace just like us. We should show mercy and kindness towards all living things, even if they are small or seem insignificant to us, as this is what Allah has commanded us to do in His holy book, the Quran.
