Poisoned Meat and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: A Jewess tried to poison the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by serving him poisoned meat.

Anas b. Malik reported that a Jewess brought poisoned meat and then served it to Allah's Messenger
وَحَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، - سَمِعْتُ هِشَامَ، بْنَ زَيْدٍ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ يَهُودِيَّةً، جَعَلَتْ سَمًّا فِي لَحْمٍ ثُمَّ أَتَتْ بِهِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ خَالِدٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a Jewess who attempted to poison the beloved prophet of Islam, Muhammad (PBUH). The woman brought poisoned meat and served it to the prophet in an attempt to harm him. However, due to his trust in God and his faith that God would protect him from any harm or danger, he ate it without hesitation. Fortunately for him, he was not harmed by this act of treachery as God had protected him from any danger or harm. This hadith teaches us that we should always have faith in God and trust that He will protect us from any danger or harm that may come our way. We should also be aware of those who may try to do us wrong and be wary of their intentions towards us.
