QUICK LESSONS:
Trust in God and leave justice up to Him
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about an incident in which a Jewess attempted to poison the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. She brought him poisoned mutton and he ate it, but Allah protected him from its effects. When the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ found out what had happened they asked if they should kill her for her crime, but instead of punishing her himself he said that Allah would take care of it. This shows us that even when faced with danger and harm we should trust in Allah and leave justice up to Him. We can also learn from this hadith that we should not take matters into our own hands when someone has wronged us; rather we should turn to Allah for help and guidance.
