EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of seeking permission before entering a place or speaking to someone, as well as how one should respond when asked who it is. It also highlights the importance of showing respect and kindness when interacting with others, as demonstrated by Allah's Apostle in his response to Jabir b. Abdullah's call for permission. The Prophet responded kindly and warmly, saying "It is I" twice in order to show that he was not angry or annoyed at being disturbed but rather welcomed it as an opportunity for interaction and connection with another person. This teaches us that we should always be respectful and kind when interacting with others, no matter what our relationship may be like or how busy we are at any given moment in time.
