Mindful Speech and Actions

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the importance of being mindful of one's words and actions.

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Shu'ba with a slight variation of wording.
حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، وَعَبْدَةُ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ‏.‏ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ غَيْرَ أَنَّحَدِيثِهِمَا فَتَمَرَّطَ شَعْرُهَا
