The Prophet's Posture in the Mosque

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was seen lying in the mosque with one foot placed on top of the other.

'Abbad b. Tamim reported from his uncle that he saw Allah's Messenger lying in the mosque and placing his one foot upon the other.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مُسْتَلْقِيًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى

This hadith speaks to the importance of maintaining a respectful posture while in a mosque. It is reported that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was seen lying down in a mosque with one foot placed on top of the other. This shows us that even when we are not actively praying or engaging in religious activities, we should still maintain respect for our place of worship and keep our posture dignified and respectful.
