The Danger of Pride and Arrogance

SUMMARY: Pride and arrogance can lead to destruction.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: There was a person (living before you) who took pride in his cloak. the rest of the hadith is the same.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ رَجُلاً مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ يَتَبَخْتَرُ فِي حُلَّةٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِهِمْ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the danger of pride and arrogance. It tells us that a person who was proud of his cloak was destroyed because of his pride. This teaches us that we should not be proud or arrogant, as it can lead to our own destruction. We should instead be humble and grateful for what we have, as this will bring us closer to Allah SWT.
