QUICK LESSONS:
Take precautionary measures against potential danger from fire; extinguish any open flames before sleeping; treat fires with respect and caution; be aware of the dangers posed by open flames or sparks near combustible materials such as wood or paper etc.; have a plan for responding quickly in case of an emergency involving a fire; practice proper storage techniques for flammable materials such as gasoline or kerosene etc.; install smoke detectors in your home and check them regularly; have an escape plan ready in case there is ever a need for evacuation due to a fire emergency etc..

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of fire safety in Islam. It was reported by Abu Musa that a house was burnt down in Medina during the night over its inhabitants. When their matter was reported to Allah's Messenger (PBUH), he said; "This fire is an enemy of yours. So when you go to sleep, extinguish it." This hadith teaches us that we should take precautions and be aware of the dangers of fire, especially at night when we are asleep and unable to respond quickly if a fire were to start. We should make sure all fires are extinguished before going to bed so as not to risk our lives or those around us. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also taught us that we should treat fires with respect and caution as they can be dangerous enemies if not handled properly.
