Sahih Muslim 1978a (Book 35, Hadith 60) #12228
The Consequences of Forbidden Actions

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the consequences of cursing one's father, sacrificing for anyone besides Allah, accommodating an innovator in religion and changing the boundary lines of land.

Abu Tufail 'Amir b. Withila reported: I was in the company of 'Ali b. Abi Talib, when a person came to him, and said: What was it that Allah's Apostle told you in secret? Thereupon he (liadrat 'All) was enraged and said: Allah's Apostle did not tell me anything in secret that he hid from people, except that he told me four things. He said: Commander of Faithful, what are these? He said: Allah cursed him who cursed his father; Allah cursed him who sacrificed for anyone besides Allah; and Allah cursed him who accommodates an innovator (in religion) ; and Allah cursed him who changed the minarets (the boundary lines) of the land.

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect your parents; Sacrifice only for God Almighty; Avoid accommodating innovators; Abide by laws and regulations set by authorities

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith from Abu Tufail 'Amir b. Withila talks about four things that Allah's Apostle warned against doing. Firstly, it is forbidden to curse one's father as this will result in a curse from Allah himself. Secondly, it is forbidden to sacrifice for anyone besides Allah as this will also result in a curse from Allah himself. Thirdly, it is forbidden to accommodate an innovator in religion as this too will result in a curse from Allah himself. Lastly, it is forbidden to change the boundary lines of land as this too will result in a curse from Allah himself. These teachings are important for us all to remember and abide by so that we can stay away from any form of punishment or wrath from God Almighty Himself!
