Sending Salutations to All Good Worshippers of Allah

SUMMARY: This hadith explains the importance of sending salutations to all good worshippers of Allah, whether they are in Heaven or on Earth.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud: We used to say the greeting, name and greet each other in the prayer. Allah's Messenger heard it and said:--"Say, 'at-tahiyyatu lil-lahi was-salawatu wat-taiyibatu . Assalamu 'Alaika aiyuha-n-Nabiyu warahmatu- l-lahi wa-barakatuhu. _ Assalamu alaina wa-'ala 'ibadillahi -salihin. Ashhadu an la ilaha illa-l-lah wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'Abdu hu wa Rasuluh. (All the compliments are for Allah and all the prayers and all the good things (are for Allah). Peace be on you, O Prophet, and Allah's mercy and blessings (are on you). And peace be on us and on the good (pious) worshipers of Allah. I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Apostle) So, when you have said this, then you have surely sent the greetings to every good (pious) worshipper of Allah, whether he be in the Heaven or on the Earth ".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of sending salutations and greetings to all good worshippers of Allah. It is narrated by Abdullah bin Mas'ud that when people used to say their greetings and names during prayer, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ heard it and taught them a special greeting which includes praising Allah and praying for His mercy and blessings. He said that when this greeting is said it will be sent as a salutation to every good worshipper of Allah in Heaven or on Earth. This hadith teaches us the importance of being kind with our words towards others even if we don't know them personally. It also encourages us to always remember those who are not present with us but still deserve our respect such as prophets or pious people who have passed away.
