Freeing one's slave out of one's own property if possible; Putting one's slave into extra labour without overburdening them; Treating one's slave with kindness and compassion when emancipating them.

This hadith speaks about the emancipation of slaves, which was a common practice during the time of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It teaches us that if someone has enough money to free their slave, they should do so out of their own property. However, if they do not have enough money to free them, then they should put them to extra labour in order to earn money for buying their freedom. The important thing here is that the slave should not be overburdened or treated harshly while doing this extra labour. This hadith teaches us values such as kindness and compassion towards others, especially those who are less fortunate than us and are dependent on us for their freedom.
