QUICK LESSONS:
Engage in financial transactions with honesty and integrity; Use items of value as collateral if needed; Pay back debts in due time; Follow the example set by Prophet Muhammad PBUH when engaging in any kind of financial transaction or agreement.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of buying goods on credit. He purchased some grain from a Jewish man and gave him his coat-of-mail as collateral for the purchase. This hadith teaches us that it is permissible to buy goods on credit, but one must ensure that they are able to pay back the debt in due time. It also teaches us that if we do not have enough money to purchase something, we can use an item of value as collateral instead. The Prophet Muhammad was an example of honesty and integrity in all his dealings, so this hadith serves as an example for us to follow when engaging in any kind of financial transaction or agreement.
