Returning Land to Jews of Khaibar

SUMMARY: The Jews of Khaibar were given back their date-palms and land on the condition that they would work on it with their own wealth and give half of the yield to Allah's Messenger.

Abdullah b. Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Allah's Messenger returned to the Jews of Khaibar the date-palms of Khaibar and its land on the condition that they should work upon them with their own wealth (seeds, implements), and give half of the yield to Allah's Messenger .

QUICK LESSONS:
Be generous in your dealings with others; Be mindful when making agreements/contracts; Give away half your earnings as charity; Help those who need it most; Please Allah through generosity

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about how Allah's Messenger returned the date-palms and land of Khaibar to its Jewish inhabitants, but with a condition that they must use their own wealth in order to work on it, and then give half of the yield from it as charity. This teaches us that we should be generous in our dealings with others, even if we have been wronged by them in some way. We should also be mindful when making agreements or contracts, ensuring that both parties are satisfied with the terms before signing off on them. Furthermore, this hadith also encourages us to be charitable and generous towards those who are less fortunate than ourselves. By giving away half of what we earn from our hard work as charity, we can help those who need it most while also pleasing Allah at the same time.
