Generosity and Kindness

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of being generous and kind to others.

Another chain narrated the same as the above hadith.
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ‏.‏ مِثْلَهُ

This hadith emphasizes the importance of being generous and kind to others. It encourages us to be charitable, compassionate, and understanding towards those around us. We should strive to be generous with our time, money, resources, and even our words. Being kind can help build strong relationships with those around us as well as create a more harmonious environment for everyone. Additionally, it is important that we are mindful of how we treat people in order to ensure that we are not taking advantage of them or causing any harm in any way.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said “Whoever has been given kindness has been given something great” which shows how highly he valued this trait in people. He also said “The most beloved deed by Allah is one whose doer does it out of kindness” which further emphasizes the importance of being kind even when there may not be an immediate reward or benefit from it. By striving to be generous and kind towards others we can make a positive impact on our own lives as well as those around us.
