QUICK LESSONS:
Be fair when dealing with others
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Abu Huraira, who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad. In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad is reported to have forbidden two types of transactions known as muhaqala and muzabana. These are both forms of exchange or transaction that involve goods or services being exchanged for other goods or services in return. The Prophet Muhammad wanted to ensure that people were not taking advantage of each other in these transactions, so he forbade them from engaging in these activities. This teaches us that we should always be fair when dealing with others and not take advantage of them in any way. We should also strive to be honest and transparent when conducting business with others so that everyone involved can benefit from the transaction equally.
