Prayer in the Ka'ba

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) entered the Ka'ba with a few of his companions and prayed between two pillars.

Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported: Allah's Messenger came on the Day of Victory, and got down in the courtyard of the Ka'ba and he sent (a message) for 'Uthman b. Talha (Allah be pleased with them). He came with the key and opened the door. Allah's Apostle then entered therein and Bilal, Usama b. Zaid, and 'Uthman b. Talha (along with him), and then commanded the door to be closed. They stayed there for a considerable time, and then the door was opened, and Abdullah said: I was the first to meet Allah's Messenger. . outside (the Ka'ba), and Bilal was close behind him. I said to Bilal: Did Allah's Messenger observe prayer therein? He said: Yes. I said: Where? He said: Between the two pillars in front of his face. He said: I forgot to ask him as to the number of rakahs he prayed.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's visit to the Ka'ba on the day of victory. He was accompanied by some of his companions including Ibn Umar, Bilal, Usama b. Zaid and 'Uthman b. Talha who opened the door for him with a key. The Prophet then entered inside and stayed there for some time before coming out again. According to Ibn Umar, he was one of the first people to meet him outside and asked if he had prayed inside between two pillars in front of his face which Bilal confirmed as true but could not remember how many rakahs were prayed in total. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to perform our prayers wherever we are even if it is a special place like the Ka'ba or any other mosque or place of worship as it is an important part of our faith as Muslims that brings us closer to Allah Almighty through His remembrance and supplications for His mercy upon us all. It also shows us how important it is to take care when performing our prayers so that we can remember exactly what we did afterwards so that others may benefit from it too by learning from our example just like how Ibn Umar learned from Bilal's experience here about praying in such a holy place like this one specifically between two pillars facing towards Mecca which has become an accepted practice amongst Muslims today when visiting this sacred site during their pilgrimage or otherwise known as Hajj or Umrah trips respectively each year around this time annually inshallah!
