QUICK LESSONS:
Strive to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his example as much as possible.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that halting at al-Abtah is not the Sunnah, however Allah's Messenger halted there simply because it was easier for him to depart from there when he left. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his example as much as possible. However, if a situation arises where following his example becomes difficult or impossible, then we should look for other solutions which are more practical and feasible. We should also remember that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was a human being who faced difficulties just like us and he too looked for solutions which were more convenient in certain situations.
