Be mindful when performing acts that are forbidden during ihram such as cutting hair or nails, hunting animals etc., Repent sincerely by following one of these methods prescribed by Allah's Messenger ﷺ .

This hadith is about how one can atone for sins committed during the state of ihram. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ passed by Ka'b b. Ujra who was kindling fire under the cooking pot while in a state of ihram and vermin were crawling on his face. When asked if they were bothering him, he said yes and so the Prophet ﷺ gave him three options to make up for it; shave his head, feed six needy persons or observe fast for three days or offer sacrifice of a sacrificial animal. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful when performing acts that are forbidden during ihram such as cutting hair or nails, hunting animals etc., and if we do commit any sins then we should repent sincerely by following one of these methods prescribed by Allah's Messenger ﷺ .
