To the original topic you posted Brother Salman,

Why don't you listen to what Sisters Ummziba and Khadija posted?  They told you the correct definition of addiction.  Brother AK then jokingly represented jokingly what a pretty bad habit would be, but according to the definition of addiction given by the sisters, his description was still just lack of priorities and bad habits.

Food and water are necessary and they are not addictions or bad habits.  The Internet, and specifically this forum, provides an Islaamic community to those of us who would otherwise have none.  For others it is just an enhancement, like a flower on the table.  But for some of us it is as important as the food and water that we need to live.

Very excellent point, Sis Herjihad!  This place really is like 'family' to some users and certainly these cyber friends are very important to those who don't live near an Islamic community.
