Muslims Ask FBI to Detain Jewish Terrorist
A Muslim American organization has asked the FBI to detain Jewish terrorist Binyamin Kahane, founder of a designated organization who is scheduled to appear at the Ocean Avenue Jewish Center in Brooklyn, New York Sunday.
Kahane founded "Kahane Chai" following the assasination of his father Meir Kahane which is an offshoot of another terrorist organization.
Both groups have been designated as terrorist organizations by the Israeli government as well. Kahane Chai sponsors the routine threats and harassment of Palestinians in Hebron and the West Bank. They have also claimed responsibility for the deaths of four Palestinians in 1993.
In an internet flier about Sunday's event, the group encourages "a willingness to wipe out the enemy who is desecreating the Jewish G-d and nation..."
Secretary of State Madeleine Albright designated them a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) following a string of bombings and other attacks on U.S. soil.
In a release this week, the Council on American Islamic Relations, a Muslim American advocacy group, said it is calling upon law enforcement officials to investigate the funding sources for and backers of Sunday's event.
