Israeli Hit on Gaza Refugee Camp

A warning to viewers, there are disturbing images at the beginning of this report. Funerals have been held for two Palestinian women and their eight children, killed in an Israeli air raid early on Saturday morning.

Their home in Gaza's Shati refugee camp was hit in the attack. According to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), Shati is the third-largest of the Gaza Strip’s eight refugee camps and one of the most crowded. It is home to more than 85,000 refugees, all of whom reside in an area of just 0.52 square kilometres. Israel’s ground forces continue to fire heavy artillery into Gaza.
