US, global allies release joint statement on Gaza ceasefire deal

17 countries including the United States have released a joint statement, calling on Israel and Hamas to do whatever is necessary to agree on a Gaza ceasefire deal, that would also secure the release of captives held in Gaza.

The Israeli government has banned Al Jazeera from reporting in Israel, so that's why Imran Khan is following developments from the Jordanian capital, Amman. He talks us through the joint statement.
