Water Crisis is Deepening in Northern Gaza

The water crisis is deepening day by day in northern Gaza under the suffocating Israeli siege and bombardment. Palestinians, men, women and children alike, continue to face the devastating effects of the war.

In the tent cities in Rafah city, many displaced Palestinians have to wait in long queues for hours to access clean water that arrives days later.

Khaled, who lives in a tent camp, said, "5A water tanker comes to the camp here every 3 days. People climb on top of each other to get water. This is not tolerable for people. People should increase their aid here. It is a pity what is happening to us."

Abdülkerim Abdüaziz, another Palestinian living in the camp, said, "We migrated here from Beit Hanoun. Only one tanker of water comes to the camp where 5 thousand people live. Every time it comes, there is a stampede among people to get water. The biggest problem for people right now is access to fresh water. I hope they solve this problem as soon as possible."
