But what about the link between religious unaffiliated people and suicide?  According to a 2004 article in the "American Journal of Psychiatry": "Religiously unaffiliated subjects had significantly more lifetime suicide attempts and more first-degree relatives who committed suicide than subjects who endorsed a religious affiliation. Unaffiliated subjects were younger, less often married, less often had children, and had less contact with family members. Furthermore, subjects with no religious affiliation perceived fewer reasons for living, particularly fewer moral objections to suicide. In terms of clinical characteristics, religiously unaffiliated subjects had more lifetime impulsivity, aggression, and past substance use disorder. No differences in the level of subjective and objective depression, hopelessness, or stressful life events were found." Some people on this forum (you know who you are ) have suggested (hypothetically) that Islam could have been started by Satan.  But wouldn't Satan promote suicide?  If that is the case, then can it be suggested that atheism, with its lack of moral scruples and "protective" effect against suicide, could owe its origins to Satan?  Of course, there are other reasons as well for why Satan would promote atheism. ------------- Say: "Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds. The heart and soul needs to be filled with the Love of our Maker Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala. Rich celebrities, for example, who amass a massive amount of wealth then are hedonists seem to commit suicide more than anybody else. Anything related to murder,suicide and even thinking of murdering someone is inspired by satan look at all the wars and terrorism, it is satan who is winding up humans against each other and the humans allows it, so they are in fact helping satan with his mission, cause satan is a human murderer from the begining.
