Atheism and Suicide

Atheists like to boast that religion is the cause of much of the world's problems, while pretending that atheism/humanism is such a great development for humanity.  But, as we all know, the rise of atheism/humanism has not done anything to curtail or alleviate the problems of the world.  In fact, atheists/humanists are just as capable of great acts of violence as anyone else, in spite of the protests of apologists. 

No doubt, atheists point to so-called "Islamic" suicide bombers as a way to bash religion in general, and Islam in particular.  Of course, the fact that suicide is forbidden in Islam makes no difference to these people.

But what about the link between religious unaffiliated people and suicide?  According to a 2004 article in the "American Journal of Psychiatry":

"Religiously unaffiliated subjects had significantly more lifetime suicide attempts and more first-degree relatives who committed suicide than subjects who endorsed a religious affiliation. Unaffiliated subjects were younger, less often married, less often had children, and had less contact with family members. Furthermore, subjects with no religious affiliation perceived fewer reasons for living, particularly fewer moral objections to suicide. In terms of clinical characteristics, religiously unaffiliated subjects had more lifetime impulsivity, aggression, and past substance use disorder. No differences in the level of subjective and objective depression, hopelessness, or stressful life events were found." (http://ajp.psychiatryonline.org/article.aspx?articleID=177228)

Morever, according to another study published in 2012 in the journal "Suicidology Online", suicide rates are relatively low in Islamic countries:

"...research suggests that countries with large numbers of Muslims tend to have lower suicide rates..." (http://www.suicidology-online.com/pdf/SOL-2012-3-59-71.pdf)

The study also noted that:

"It is generally accepted that religion typically acts as a protective factor against suicidal behavior."

Some people on this forum (you know who you are ) have suggested (hypothetically) that Islam could have been started by Satan.  But wouldn't Satan promote suicide?  If that is the case, then can it be suggested that atheism, with its lack of moral scruples and "protective" effect against suicide, could owe its origins to Satan?  Of course, there are other reasons as well for why Satan would promote atheism.

Anything related to murder,suicide and even thinking of murdering someone is inspired by satan look at all the wars and terrorism, it is satan who is winding up humans against each other and the humans allows it, so they are in fact helping satan with his mission, cause satan is a human murderer from the begining.
