Assalamu Alaikum: When I reverted many people told me to choose a Muslim name, even though my name has no unIslamic meaning. I told them that as all babies are born Muslim, I was a Muslim when I was given my name and why should I change it? Suzanne is a lovely name. |

naoozubillah sister mishmish, iblis is the name of a jinn who disobeyed Allah by not prostrating to Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) after Allah created Prophet Adam. so Allah cursed iblis forever and he has become shaytan never keep the name iblis |

Salam Salman, I think you might have missed read what Sis Mishmish said "to give a change a go"Which means Yes change the name. She was using dry Humor. I belive she knows what Iblis means. All she was saying is Lucifer has not Islamic meaning. |
