There is no biblical information to support the Inquistional claim cats were satanic.  However, Cats were sacred animals to the Pagan peoples and thus because the Pagans obviously worshipped Satan, cats were Satanic.  The Inquisitors had a lot of messed up ideas about the Pagan (which means rural) religions of Europe and other areas.  However, the only cats I really remember very well in the Bible are the Lions that refused to eat Daniel.  I wouldn't think that was bad.

The Bible does refer to the Lions lying down with the Lambs.  Do lions count?  They are cats afterall, or more specifically, members of the canine family.
