[Forgiveness]

Out of their selfish envy, many among the followers of earlier revelation would like to bring you back to denying the truth after you have attained to faith - [even] after the truth has become clear unto them. None the less, forgive and forbear, until God shall make manifest His will: behold, God has the power to will anything. - 2:109 (Asad) -

God does not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: in his favour shall be whatever good he does, and against him whatever evil he does. O our Sustainer! Take us not to task if we forget or unwittingly do wrong! "O our Sustainer! Lay not upon us a burden such as Thou didst lay upon those who lived before us! O our Sustainer! Make us not bear burdens which we have no strength to bear! "And efface Thou our sins, and grant us forgiveness, and bestow Thy mercy upon us! Thou art our Lord Supreme: succour us, then, against people who deny the truth!" - 2:286 (Asad) -

[Allah:loves those who put their trust in Him] [Allah:trust in] [Consultation mutual] [Forgiveness] [Mercy] [Muhammad:is not severe or harsh hearted] [Muhammad:most kind and merciful to the Believers]

And it was by God's grace that thou [O Prophet] didst deal gently with thy followers: for if thou hadst been harsh and hard of heart, they would indeed have broken away from thee. Pardon them, then, and pray that they be forgiven. And take counsel with them in all matters of public concern; then, when thou hast decided upon a course of action, place thy trust in God: for, verily, God loves those who place their trust in Him. - 3:159 (Asad) -

MUHAMMAD is Godís Apostle; and those who are [truly] with him are firm and unyielding towards all deniers of the truth, [yet] full of mercy towards one another. Thou canst see them bowing down, prostrating themselves [in prayer], seeking favour with God and [His] goodly acceptance: their marks are on their faces, traced by prostration. This is their parable in the Torah as well as their parable in the Gospel: [they are] like a seed that brings forth its shoot, and then He strengthens it, so that it grows stout, and [in the end] stands firm upon its stem, delighting the sowers. [Thus will God cause the believers to grow in strength,] so that through them He might confound the deniers of the truth. [But] unto such of them as may [yet] attain to faith and do righteous deeds, God has promised forgiveness and a reward supreme. - 48:29 (Asad) -

He is fully aware of you when He brings you into being out of dust, and when you are still hidden in your mothersí wombs: do not, then, consider yourselves pure - [for] He knows best as to who is conscious of Him. - 53:32 (Asad) -

[Allah's good pleasure] [Crops] [Forgiveness] [Hereafter:better than worldly life] [Plants] [Rain sent down by Allah] [Worldly life:deception of] [Worldly life:similitude of]

KNOW [O men] that the life of this world is but a play and a passing delight, and a beautiful show, and [the cause of] your boastful vying with one another, and [of your] greed for more and more riches and children. Its parable is that of [life-giving] rain: the herbage which it causes to grow delights the tillers of the soil; but then it withers, and thou canst see it turn yellow; and in the end it crumbles into dust. But [the abiding truth of manís condition will become fully apparent] in the life to come: [either] suffering severe, or Godís forgiveness and His goodly acceptance: for the life of this world is nothing but an enjoyment of self-delusion. - 57:20 (Asad) -
