Life Has Taught Me
Life Has Taught Me
By Dr. Imad Bayoun
No deed, good or bad, is insignificant! If I regularly commit a certain sin, it doesn’t mean “I might as well commit all other related (or unrelated) sins!"
We all have a mixture of good and bad deeds! The goal will never be a complete freedom of all sins! It will never happen. The goal is simply to tip the balance in favor of the good ones, by doing more good, or less bad, or both!
وَالْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ

The scales on that Day will be just. Those whose weights are heavy—it is they who are the successful
(Quran 7:8) -
“Sinning boldly and openly” should never be the motto. The Prophet (S) said “All of my Ummah will recover except those bragging about their sins.” (narrated by Abu Hurairah in Sahih Bukhari)
