Sahih Muslim 1159d (Book 13, Hadith 238) #9877
Reciting the Quran Regularly

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised Abdullah b. 'Amr to recite the entire Quran in a month, and if he found it difficult, then to recite it in twenty nights or seven nights at most.

'Abdullah b. 'Amr (Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah said to me: Recite the whole of the Qur'An during every month. I said: I find power (to recite it) in a shorter period. He said: Then recite it in twenty nights. I said: I find power (to recite it in a shorter period even than this), whereupon he said: Then recite it in seven (nights) and do not exceed beyond it.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of reciting the entire Quran regularly. The Prophet Muhammad PBUH advised Abdullah b. 'Amr to recite the entire Quran in a month, and if he found it difficult, then to recite it in twenty nights or seven nights at most. This hadith teaches us that we should strive to read and understand the words of Allah SWT as much as possible and not exceed beyond what we can handle comfortably so that we can benefit from its teachings fully without feeling overwhelmed or exhausted by its length. It also teaches us that even though reading all of Allah's words is important, we should not push ourselves too hard but rather find a balance between our capabilities and our goals so that we can achieve them without compromising our health or wellbeing.
