SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave permission to fast or break the fast while travelling.

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Hamza b. 'Amr al-Aslami asked the Messenger of Allah about fasting on a journey, and he (the Holy Prophet) said: Fast if you like and break it if you like.

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad PBUH with flexibility and compassion when it comes to certain circumstances such as travel.

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'A'isha and Hamza b. 'Amr al-Aslami states that the Prophet Muhammad gave permission to those who are travelling to either fast or break their fast, depending on their preference. This hadith is an example of the Prophet's mercy and kindness towards his followers, as he allowed them to choose what was best for them in terms of fasting during a journey. It also teaches us that we should be flexible in our religious practices when it comes to certain circumstances, such as travel, so that we can still practice our faith without compromising our health or wellbeing.
