Kindness and Generosity to Family

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of being kind and generous to one's family.

It is further narrated on the authority of Aswad and Masruq that they went to the Mother of the Believers and they asked her
وَحَدَّثَنِيهِ يَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، وَمَسْرُوقٍ أَنَّهُمَا دَخَلاَ عَلَى أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَسْأَلاَنِهَا ‏.‏ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of being kind and generous to one's family. It is narrated on the authority of Aswad and Masruq that they went to the Mother of the Believers, Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, who said that she heard Allah’s Messenger ﷺ say “The best among you are those who are best towards their families”. This hadith teaches us that we should always be kind and generous towards our families as it is a sign of good character. We should strive to treat our family members with respect, love, kindness, generosity, patience and understanding in order for us to become better people in society. Furthermore, this hadith also encourages us not only to be good towards our own families but also towards other people’s families as well.
