The Importance of Ramadan and Dhu'l-Hijja

SUMMARY: The two months of Ramadan and Dhu'l-Hijja are important months in the Islamic calendar.

The son of Abu Bakra reported it on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah had said: The two months of 'Id, Ramadan and Dhu'l-Hijja (are not incomplete).
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، - رضى الله عنه - عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ شَهْرَا عِيدٍ لاَ يَنْقُصَانِ رَمَضَانُ وَذُو الْحِجَّةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of two months in the Islamic calendar - Ramadan and Dhu’l Hijjah. These two months are considered to be very special by Muslims as they have a lot of religious significance. During these two months, Muslims observe fasting during Ramadan and perform Hajj pilgrimage during Dhul Hijjah. Both these activities are important for Muslims as they help them to strengthen their faith in Allah and also bring them closer to Him. Additionally, it is believed that performing good deeds during these two months will be rewarded more than usual by Allah Almighty. Therefore, it is important for Muslims to make sure that they take full advantage of these blessed times by doing good deeds such as charity, helping others in need etc., so that they can reap maximum rewards from Allah Almighty on the Day Of Judgment.
